We have written before but it has been a while though. My group of Masseys, who was a Lott Porter Massey, who was Charles and Pliney's great grand father. He was captured at Island #10 during the Civil War and died in Chicago as a POW. Lebon is not one of the Massey's we can tie into to. It seems to be ironic that there are at least three different sets of Masseys in the Columbia/Lafayette County Ark. area and as far as I can tell two may be kin but there is not certain proof. One of them is my family and the other may be my family but I don't know of any connection with Lebon. If you ever run across an old picture of a woman that looks like it was torn from another picture let me know. We have an old picture of Lott, the civil war vet that looks like it was cut from another picture. We feel that when Lott's wife finally died in the 1880's-1890's, the family split. The oldest son got the picture of Lott, the other son got the last letter Lott had sent his wife from the prison camp in Chicago and the oldest daughter that took care of the mother was given the picture of her mother that had been torn from the picture of her and Lott. Anyway, good luck in your search and you may want to try to find a Massey man who can give a DNA sample that may connect you with someone who has already done their's.
