Minerva had children with both husbands, John R. HARRIS & John Steve SMITH, but it is hard to separate the stepchildren and figure out which father goes with which child. I believe John HARRIS was married before Minerva, to Mary? and brought at least two children to his second marriage.

Minerva's mother was Susan MOORE, born 12 Sept 1852, Missouri, died 5 Feb 1935, Johnson Co., Ark. She was buried in Minnow Creek, Hagarville, Johnson Co., along with her daughter Minerva.

Minerva's father was James Daniel BOWEN, born 4 Sept 1849, died 17 Sept 1879 (tombstone dates). He was buried Darrow Cemetery, Laclede Co., Missouri. See FindaGrave for details.

In Johnson Co., Ark. census, 1910, you find Minerva E. SMITH, living with her brand new husband, John S. SMITH, and her mother, Susan BOWEN. That's where I made the connection.
