This message is sent to respond to the Joyce Mae Martin letter regarding Sol Martin from Red Lick mountain. I live on Red Lick and our land adjoins the Orla Martin property.
I went to Mt. Vernon School with Joyce Mae Martin in 1940 and 1941, but her father was not called Henry James Martin. I am astonished that there could be a cousin with the same name. I am the only girl named Peggy who was a year ahead of Joyce Mae that year, and my best friend was named Louise. She was related to the Martins. I would love to hear from Joyce Mae about this, and I would thank anyone for sending any information.
