Sheralyn,
Yes, I know your mother, Pearlene. I have played with her and her sister, Merlene, when we were children. We would visit Lois in Crockett, California once in a while. We lived only about thirty miles from them. I don't know if Merlene remembers me or not.
It's been at least ten years since I have seen your grandmother. Is she still in Crockett?
I have quite a bit of information on the Bowen family. I am at a dead-end when it gets back to William Bowen, born about 1800. Family tradition has him born in Ireland, but all indications are that he was born in Georgia. (Your great-grandmother, Annie, told me of the tradition way back in the 1960's). Also it would appear that the last name was Boren until after William died in 1859.
I've got lots more information and have questions to ask you. Please contact me directly at gbryce3839@aol.com.
Thanks for writing,
Gene Bryce
