I noticed the Hammons from Knox County, Ky on your posting. I am searching for James Hammons, s/o Peter II, who married Stacy Broughton in Knox County, Ky. They were in Knox County in 1850, and then in Floyd County, Ky in 1860 Census. Their daughter, Susannah, married Marshall Hubbard, b. 1830 in Knox County. I think they married in Floyd County abt. 1855. James and Stacy Hammons left Floyd County, Ky for Arkansas. My grandfather told me this before he died in 1980. Then Marshall
and Susannah Hammons Hubbard followed them to Arkansas.
Papa told me that his grandma "Sue" was buried in Boone County, Arkansas. I read on one of the postings that James
had a second wife. Do you have any information on this family?
Many thanks.

Minda Marlow was my grandmother. I did not know her name
until a short time ago. Her youngest daughter, Molly
Pearl, was my mother.
All her children were born in Ark. My mother told me this,
Minda and her husband, and her son, George, all died very
young. I would love to know the time and circumstances of
their deaths. thank you

Bill,

I would love to share and exchange information with you on your family. I have researched the Messer in Kentucky for many years and just this evening I have been digging into your line on the family.

I hope these may help a little, I just sent these to my grandma tonight. I am related through the Messers way back when in Knox County, Kentucky

Bill,

I tried to find your e-mail address to contact you, but can't. You can e-mail me at

foe3643@tombstonezero.net

To give you a little background.

Joe Marlow s/o John Marlow and Nancy Naomi Messer

I am related through Nancy, her father is my GGGG Uncle.

Mindy Hammons d/o John Hammons and Nancy Hignite
I am related through both John and Nancy
John's father is my GGGG Unlce and his mother is my 5G Aunt
Nancy's grandfather (on her fathers side) is my 5G Uncle and her grandmother is my 5G Aunt

Guess that would make us related atleast five different ways.

Does your mom happen to have any photographs of her family?

I was very happy to find your info just now. I was busy
researching another name.
As I said before, I was totally unaware of my grandparents
name or how our lineage progressed. I had only my mother's
words to remember so I've had a bit of trouble putting all
the names in order.
If I can get the connections starting with my mother,
Molly Pearl 'Wages' Marlow, and going up to her grandfather,
I will have everything that I want.
I know that her parents died at a very young age and she
was orphaned around 1910-1920. She also lost her brother, George, during that time.
I have the 1910 Census where the family was intact, but
in the 1920 census she is living with a family by the
name of Hibberd. It was the saddest thing that I've ever
seen.
I have met Louise 'Horton' Marlow as well as her cousin,
John Marlow. Louise lived in LAA. and died a while back.
John died in the sixties if I remember correctly. I have
documentation for both of them.
I am really interested in where and how her family died.
She told me that she remembered her mother dying and that
her brother, George, was killed by a horse.
I have much info on the Wages side of my family, but not
too much on the Marlow side. I have tons of info but it is
not in order yet. Maybe you can help me.
If you need anything, I will be happy to give you what I
have. Thank you. Bill Wages
