I am searching for Isaac Napoleon Mitchell, son of George W. Mitchell b.SC and Margaret Ann Jaudon McDow Mitchell who left after the Civil War destitute because the Confederate Dollar had no value and could not buy or sell or even pay taxes.
I found Isaac married to Martha E.Owens in 1882 in AR. By 1900 AR census, they had the following children: Geran O. age 15; George D age 14, Dicie M. age 7, Willis M age 6 and Leslie C. age 7months.
By the 1910 AR, Jefferson Co census, Martha was a widow.
Isaac N Mitchell had a brother, Lafayette who died after returning from the Civil War before 1870, he also had a brother, Thaddeus Mitchell that was in McLennan, Collin TX.
Also there, was a nephew, Sam Mitchell, so of Lafayette Mitchell.
