Looking for the Birdsong Families that lived in Jackson Co AR (Newport).
Allie BIRDSONG (b. 1893 Ky/Tn Area d. 1973 Newport, Ar)
Loney Birdsong (maiden name unknown) (b. 1894 Ga d. 1976 Newport, Ar).

it is said that Loney was full-blooded Cherokee Indian and that her husband, Allie was atleast 1/2 to at most 3/4 Cherokee Indian. Also, that they traveled the Trail Of Tears to Oklahoma, and then later moved to Newport Ar.
I don't know if they were married when they traveled the trail to Oklahoma or not. Most likely not, as they would have been young. Also, I was told that they are buried in a small cemetary named McCall's. Does anyone have a index to this cemetary? Or anyone researching or know this family?
