I think that Dr. John Brumley may be the older brother of my great-grandfather James Helton Brumly.
Dr. John Brumley was born 1849 in Alabama, Parents were James Brumly and Candis H. Unknown, (listed in 1860 Hickman Co. Tenn. census). John Brumley married Arminda Weatherspoon and family moved to Jackson County, Arkansas in late 1800's.
They have the following children, Walter D. , Ella, Lafayette "Fate" , Felix, Rosey, Sophie, Martin, and Newton Cohen.
Lafayette is buried in the Balch-Johnston cemetery, along with a Louizy Brumley, connection to family unknown.
Sophie married Robert Willis in Balch, Ark. 10/10/1909.
