The family settled in Howard County, Arkansas during the 1880's from Tippah County, Mississippi. The children of Joseph Brooks Ray were: Elliott Alice Ray (born ca. 1862) married John O. Ford; Anna Ray (1869-1961) married John Henry Dossey (1866-1954); Lou Ray (born ca. 1867) married James T. or F. Delaney (born ca. 1870); Sarah/Sallie Ray (born ca. 1869) married James S. Harrison (born February 1855); Hosea Ray (born ca. 1871); William Ray (born ca. 1873); Carrie B. Ray (born October 1877) married Robert C. McCorkle (born November 1873); Robert Henry Ray (born ca. 1876) married Mattie _______ (born ca. 1878); and Ambrose Ray (born ca. 1879 and died in infancy). Any help would be appreciated.
