Surnames: Ray, Dossey
I've looked through the information that I have, and I don't make the connection with Arthur or Fannie Ray, so I'm unsure if they are related. I wouldn't rule it out, however.
J.B. Ray and Nancy Ray are buried in the County Line Cemetery in Howard County. One of their daughters, Anna Elliot Ray, married John Henry Dossey. Several members of this Dossey family are buried in the Dossey Cemetery down the road from the Blue Bayou Church of Christ. John Dossey's father, William Greenberry Dossey, was one of the founding members of that church and he is one of the Dossey's buried in that cemetery.
Many of John & Anna Dossey's children lived in the area. The one who I remember living in Center Point was Willie Dossey Graves. I was pretty young when we went to visit Aunt Willie, but I distinctly remember the trip, and I especially remember stopping at a small gas station run by an elderly black woman named Lou.
Do you still live in that area?
