Autry L. Cheatham

MANSFIELD: Autry Lee CHEATHAM, 72, passed this life on Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness.

Mr. Cheatham was born on Thursday, February 3, 1944 to the late Roosevelt D. and Myrtle Lee (Williams) Cheatham in Washington, Arkansas and had lived in Mansfield, Ohio the past 49 years.
Autry was employed by the Empire Detroit Steel Mill retiring in 2006 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed working with his hands by working in his garden, renovating his home and repairing lawn mowers.

Autry is survived by his wife Marsha Shinn Cheatham; 2 daughters: Melissa (Willard) Franklin, Prescott, Arkansas, Regina (Tony) Shinn-Gunby, Chicago Heights, Illinois, and, son: Corey Wilder-Cheatham, Columbus; 2 sisters: Helen (Lucky, Jr.) Moore, and Melvin Hickman, Washington, Arkansas; 1 brother: Jerome Cheatham, Wilton, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Autry was also preceded in death by a son Johnny "Popeye" Shinn, 2 sisters: Disale Mitchell and Lillie Mae Roberson, and 5 brothers: Major, Cleveland, Lee, Harvey, Richard, and James Cheatham.

Friends may call Saturday, August 20, in the chapel of Williams Funeral Services beginning at 8:30 a.m. till the time of the funeral service at 9:30 a.m.
Friend and fellow co-worker, Rev. Dewayne Smith will officiate services.
Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
