Pauline Aiken
Pauline Ingram Aiken, 97, of Hope, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000 in the Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
Born Jan. 15, 1903 in Nevada County, she was the daughter of James Culpepper and Pinkney Paralee Merritt Ingram. She was a homemaker, a retired caregiver and general store salesperson, member of Carolina Methodist Church of Rosston, was raised in the Rosston area, last of 12 children, a former resident of Kelly Memorial Homes and was given a 97th birthday party by her nieces and nephews the day before she died.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Leroy Aiken, who died in 1940, a son, Alfred Leroy Aiken II, and her parents.
Survivors include a grandson, Alfred Leroy Aiken III; two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Bates of Gaitsville, Texas, and Christopher Neal Aiken of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Kilgore Cemetery inKilgore, Texas, with Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope in charge.
