Richard, my grandmother was a Jackson. I always heard that she had relatives in Rector,AR, but could never find them. She was the wife of James A. Brown and they lived in Greene Co. most of thier lives. He was born in Tenn. and she is listed as being born in Texas in 1886. Her given name was Sudie.
Any connection? Please e-mail
Earl

Earl, your grandmother was my(half) greataunt. We both had the same great grandfather, John Henry Jackson. Your great grandmother was Mary Francis Sherman born in Texas. I have a copy of their marriage certificate. I have a copy of Sudie's SS record. I also have a picture of their headstone. I decend from John Henry and his first wife Mary McDuffie. They had two boys, one William Brazilia was my grandfather. Mary McDuffie died when he was 2. John Henry married Mary Francis and Sudie was their first child followed by six other children. I have hit a brick wall in Texas. I can't find them in the census records in Texas. I'm willing to share any information I have.

Richard,

Do you have any names of siblings for William E. Jackson?
There maybe a connection to my great-grandfather, John Henry Jackson who died in Marmaduke on October 21, 1921. My thought line is that John moved to Greene County from Round Rock, Texas to be near relatives.
