In 1880, there is a John Bobbitt listed as a resident of Greene County, AR. I am looking for a John J Bobbitt who appears in 1850 Franklin Co AR cenus, but disappears afterwards. In 1880 he would have been approx 70 years of age with his wife named Martha a few years younger. His son John would have been about 41 years old. Could this be the same John??

Dear David, Do not know where this goes but we have a John J. Bobbitt born in 1841. He was the son of Green W. Bobbitt and Sarah Plant Bobbitt. We too are searching for history but hit a stump. We know there was other siblings. There was William, Thomas, Felix,Presley, Lewis, Wylie and James. WYlie Bobbitt was my husbands Great grandfather. They were living in Lee county in Arkansas. May be a connection
