My grandfather was Fred Martin Graves. Fred was my mother's father. He was married to Ida Mae Croy, who was a first cousin to Pete Croy. Pete's wife Alice was a McKinney and was my mother's best friend growing up. Pete and Alice still live in the Orion Community. I grew up riding around on the gravel roads in northern Grant County in the Ico and Orion communities. Unfortunately the local hunting clubs have gated most of these gravel roads, including Hamilton trail. Wanda Lee Mayfield was someone my mother has mentioned many times. She lived nearby.
