Yes, I've been researching this line too. This is part of the Ward/Graves line I referred to in my previous post. My great-grandfather, who's name was Robert C. "Bunk" Graves, had a half-brother named Benjamin Graves. Benjamin married Georgia Ann Ward, daughter of Thomas and Martha Hodge Ward. Thomas and Martha are buried in Marlow North Cemetery in Grant County, not far from where all these families lived. They had a daughter, Sophia, who married Franklin M. Edwards (I never knew his middle name until you mentioned it). Franklin was married three times, I believe and I'm trying to determine if he was married to the daughter of Georgia's sister. Georgia had a sister named Henrietta, who married a Bagby. She had a daughter named Carrie. I believe she may have married Franklin M Edwards, but I'm not sure. Have you come across this name?
And yes, Gus was Sophia's brother. He is buried in Garvin County, Oklahoma, along with his wife and his mother Georgia. I have quite a bit on this family if you'd like me to email it to you. Someone interviewed Gus and he mentioned that he brought his parents back to Oklahoma with him after they got older and got sick. But I have papers showing Georgia divorced Benjamin because of adultery and she went back to her maiden name. I've also been in touch with Lacy Edwards Wade's son, Edward. My parents used to be neighbors of Lacy and her husband Henry. Edward has asked me for information on the family over the years. He lives in Sheridan. This family is very interesting to me. Gus and Sophia had several brothers and sisters. One of them, Tillman, lived down around Ozan, Arkansas, which is near Hope. I've been in touch with a grandson of his who still lives down there.
