Frank did marry Carrie, but she was not a Bagby, but a Kratz. She was my grandmother, so I'm not a descendant of Sophia's. Due to the three marriages and the extreme differences in ages, I'm the youngest of all the cousins/half cousins, etc. Right now, my oldest (I think) cousin, who IS a grand-daugher of Sophia Graves, is 30 years older than I am - so it's quite an extended family. I have a picture of Franklin, Sophia and their three living children (the eldest, Ruby, died as an infant), which is attached. Lacy is the young girl standing. The cousin I mentioned earlier is the daughter of the young boy on the left (Joseph Wheeler Edwards); she still lives in Pine Bluff. I have not been in touch with Lacy's children - it would be great to get whatever information he has as well; I remember being told that Lacy had a large family.

Franklin's second marriage was to Lauretta Haley, and they had a daughter, Bernice. Lauretta probably died in childbirth. The reality is that Carrie Kratz wound up raising the children from the first two marriages and went on to have eight of her own. Til they died, they never thought of themselves as half-brothers and sisters; very tight family. My mother is the last of the living siblings.
