I took my father and uncle back to sheridan this past november. We got lucky and the Hamilton trail gate was open. I spoke to Mr Pete Croy on the telephone. He was the one who gave me directions to hamilton trail. My father and uncle remembered about the area where your grandfather Fred Graves lived. Daddy said he did remember my grandfather going to see Fred but he dont remember anymore.
Also we contacted Wanda Lee and visited her while up there. We also spoke to Mr Dave Wards daughter and visited with some of his relatives. Wanda Lee was the one who gave me Mr Pete's phone number. My family left the area in the 1940.s but Wanda Lee stayed around and got married. My uncle Charley moved from arkansas in 1946 after his brother Jack (my grandpa) moved to louisiana.
What was your mothers name and yours. Wanda Lee and I keep in touch and I will see if she remembers you. I know she remembers your grandfather Fred.
