I just realized that (according to census) Mrs. Martha MILEHAM consistently reports her place of birth as Arkansas, about 1817.
Her possible brother(?), James LIKENS, also reports his birth as Arkansas, about 1827. (Their father may have been Vinson LIKENS?).
Being that Arkansas was populated almost exclusively by Native Americans prior to the 1830's, it seems logical to reason that this family was of Native American origin. I'd like to be able to prove this. Any suggestions?
