Looking for the Marcum Family, who lived near Fains Creek- Ark.
The photo I have, is titled [Marcum home on Fains Creek-Ark, where they raised nine children].

The photo show a house and seventeen people all dressed in their finest, photo probably taken between 1900 and 1910.

Any information on location, or family would be very much appreciated.

Hello, Fain's Creek could possibly have been located near what was called Fain's Hollow on old Franklin County maps. I will look through them and see if I can find it again for you.

I am a county coordinator for the Arkansas Gravestones Project, and serve as the coordinator for both Franklin and Crawford Counties in Arkansas.

I have personally photographed the Cass Cemetery, in Franklin County, near where the Fain's Hollow is thought to have been. In the Cass Cemetery, there was a Fain, and several Marcum's. You may view the photos, free of charge, at our website: arkansasgravestones.org

I certainly hope it helps you!
Best,
Debbie
