Hey Donna,

Not sure about the census records. I will go through these papers and see if there is anything on that. From the notes some of this info came from Earl D. the rest was got by a cousin that took a year off to research Mason Dow. He did live in Franklin County for many of his last years though.

Kind of strange he went into the civil war as Mason C.

Sam,
Mason's wife, Catharine, was my g-g-aunt Catharine Boydston (un). I am very interested in any information you have on this family.

Surnames: Cantrell, Clem, Brown, Scarberry, Holman, Skaggs, Moss, Slater, Murphy
Hello. My name is Kay Hinkle. If the information I have is correct, I descend from Adam Clem and Jemima Crockett. Here is my line from what I can gather:
Adam Clem and Jemima Crockett
Mason Clem and Phoebe SEATON
William Clem and Elizabeth ?
Vincent (or Vinson) Allen Clem and Francis ?
Viola Clem and David Aaron CANTRELL
Lillian Louise CANTRELL and James Marvin BROWN
Barbara LaJoy BROWN and Tommy O'Neil SCARBERRY
me...Belinda Kay (SCARBERRY)Hinkle
I am hoping to find out more on the Clem family if anyone has any information. I found on a 1900 census where Vincent was in Dallas with wife, Francis and 2 daughters, Annis and Viola. Found a 1860 census with William was in Arkansas with wife Elizabeth and 6 children including Vinson A. (all living next door to Pheby(spelling on census)Clem and children). This is where I am basing some of my information on along with a couple of e-mails I have had from other people. But really other than this I don't have a lot on the CLEMs. My great grandmother Viola and my grandmother Lillian are both passed away so can't get information from them. And my mother didn't know anything about the Clem side of her family.
So, if there is anyone who can help me with the Clem family tree, I would really be grateful. Sam Turner gave me the advise of coming to this message board to post a search.
You can e-mail me at okie_angel21@hotmail.com
Thanks so much for taking time to read this lengthy message.
Kay Hinkle
