War of 1812 pension application S.O.#17035, S.C.#7822, W.O.#35715,
W.C.#24251. B.L.W. #21199-160-12. Service in Captain George Gray's Company and Captain John O'Fallon's Company of 1st U.S. Rifles. Enlisted at Huntsville,Madison County, Alabama July 7, 1813, discharged at Port Osage, Missouri on July 7, 1818. He was granted 160 acres of land in Chariton District, Putnam County, Missouri. He married first Darkie Moore and second Charity Barnes, March 24, 1828, in Wayne County, Tennessee. In 1871 they were residing in Sub Rosa, Franklin County, Arkansas where he died December 4, 1873. His widow moved to Hazel Dell, Comanche County, Texas by 1879.
