Gerald, just one more memory to share. I will never forget the smell of the carbide lamps attached to the helmets. We wore them when we would go out at night in a boat to gig some big bullfrogs. Think it was on Horsehead or Mulberry creek. My uncle would grill the frog legs after marinating in his own wine (Mount Bethel). Harvested grapes there every summer as a kid.
