I am seeking information on Dr. SHADOWAY. Very little is known about this man but alot of the "old-timers" have told me stories about him. But I am hoping someone out there can find or tell me where I can find concrete information on him. I have posted below what little information I have on him. Does any one have access to the 1880 - 1900 census for Muddy Bayou or surrounding areas who would do a look up for me? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

MISSING WOMEN FOUND IN FIELD
A Mount Vernon woman, in 70's was found entangled in a barbed wire fence in a field north of Mount Vernon yesterday. She was indentified as Mrs. Lou Pruett and was removed by McNutt Ambulance to Rodgers Hospital in Searcy. Her condition is described as serious. The woman, who lives with a sister, whose name was not available, had been gone from home about seven days. It was her habit, however, to visit among neighbors for several days at the time and no concern was expressed until two days ago. It was uncertain how long she had been lying in the field. She had suffered a leg wound from the wire. Mrs. Pruett was able to talk inaudibly, but was not fully conscious. Mrs. Pruett and her sister's home is on the Douglas Hawkins place. Basil Fisher called the ambulance when the woman was located. Mrs. Pruett is an aunt of Charles Smith of the Mount Vernon area.
