I won't let my hopes get above a glimmer, I promise. After all, one of the dead childs nieces (much later on after her siblings grew up of course) looked for her back in the 40s and 50s when she was elderly and couldnt find her burial spot either. Do you know where the records are located for the correct county so I can make inquiries?
