I am tracing a Reverend Parks who married Elizabeth Jones circa 1840 in NC, SC or Arkansas. Her line is well documented because she descended from a famous missionary to the Cherokees named Evan Jones. But her husband's first name and parentage is a mystery to all Jones researchers.

Their only (?) child Anna Elizabeth Parks was born in 1842 in Van Buren, Crawford Arkansas and by 1855 Elizabeth Jones Parks was either widowed or separated, living in Kansas.

In the 1840 census for Arkansas, there were several Parks men, first names Theophilus, Daniel, Marshal, Willis, Gibson, Abraham and Robert. They all seem to have had wives not named Elizabeth Jones. Does anyone recognize who the Reverend Parks might have been?
