I have some Taylor ancestors from Craighead County, but couldn’t find a John in my records. I did some digging and came up mostly empty.
Annie Taylor is living with her father Daniel Bradley on the 1900 census in Shady Grove, Greene County, Arkansas. She is widowed with one child, a 3-year-old son Orbina (sp?) D.
The Genealogy Society of Craighead County, Arkansas has a terrific website (www.gscca.org). I couldn’t locate a cemetery or obituary listing for a John Taylor who died before 1900.
It appears you have a copy of his marriage record. Did someone help put up the bond? Any other names listed might help find John in the 1880 census with his parents. I’d also recommend looking into Greene County records. Check with local genealogy societies and libraries to see if they have any cemetery or obituary indexes.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Good luck! :-)
