I can't really give you a lot of information on the Watson Reed family, but just wanted to tell you that I have a Watson Reed, b. 1841 in Lafayette Co., AR in my Moore family file. He was the brother to Clarinda Amanda Reed, who was the third wife of my g-g-grandfather, Elisha Moore.

Clarinda A. Reed had six sisters and one brother, Watson. They were the chn of Robert B. Reed and Martha Emma Mourning, both parents being born in MO (Robert in 1809 and Martha in 1810). They were on the 1850 Van Buren Township, Union Co., AR census and the 1860 Brown Township, Columbia Co., AR census.

Since they aren't directly related to me, I haven't pursued them in any of the later census records.

Given the year the document was drawn up in Walker County, TX, I don't believe that Watson Reed, b. 1841, is the same as Watson Reed, Sr.
