The Dunn, McCarty and Carlton family supposedly in this area in 1880s. I need information on a G.W. and Hariett York Dunn family. The only thing I have is a story that they left MO for OK and that she died in childbirth and is buried along with her newborn child on the banks of the White River in northern AR. We also have the specific place Wolf Bayou in Cleburne Co., AR in the family history. Would you be able to tell me about that place and if the White River is near it. Also if there is a McCarty or Carlton family in the area at the same time frame. James A. Dunn, who is a son of G.W. Dunn, married Virginia Louise McCarty in Garvin Co., OK where these families finally located. Our family history says that these families met in AR but I do NOT know where. If you can provide me any information, I would greatly appreciate it.
