William E and Permelia Moore lived in Corning. James Alfred Moore was born in 1882 in Corning. They had a daughter Mary Moore who married Fred Bowers in Corning. Mary and Fred lived in Corning all their life. William and the rest of the family moved to Howell Co. Mo. William and Permelia had
Mary
Laura
Joseph
Elza Belle
James Alfred
Minnie
Supposed to be 4 more but do not know the names.
They were in the 1890 Clay co Ark census then in Howell Co Mo in 1900. Permelia remarried in 1903-1904 in Howell Co but no records of William.
If anyone can help me with this I'd really appreciate it. I have been stuck on this family for several years if anyone can help I'd love it.Thank you

This is the correct family. Thank you so very much. I will share all I have with you. My Grandmother remembers Mary and Fred. She said they would come and visit but never brought any kids with. Please contact me and will share all I have. I am descended through Marys brother James Alfred Moore. Thank you so very much.

Cherylene (and cousin, Ronda!) HI!
Would you believe I have just now found these posts. I had been working on putting more information in about this Bowers family and finally connecting with your postings!

Here is the last that I located on this family from the 1930 USFedCen AR, Clay Coo.), Kilgore (Twp.),Corning city

Cherylene, unfortunately, I have never been able to connect with the lady that was traveling to Turkey. I do hope there wasn't problems. I'm very sorry that we have never gotten more info about the family. Would love to know more about this family from anyone that has information. Current: bpc4u@sbcglobal.net

I do remember that she had told me that both Fred and Mary Bowers had moved to a place called Lone Pine on the western side of AR (forgotten the county) and they had died there but were brought back to Corning to be buried. I don't recall without my other notes which cemetery they are in.

Mary Moore Bowers was eldest sister of my g gm Minnie Moore Brashear who died very young in childbirth with her 5th child, I believe it was. My g gp lived in Oregon Co., MO.
Thanks very much for your postings, Cherylene. Do appreciate it!
Beth

Re: William E. & Permelia Pentecost Moore family

Cousin Rhonda and others interested,
William E. Moore b. Apr 1855 KY
Permela Pentecost Moore b. Jun 1858 TN
Children:
Harvey Moore b.Jul 1877 TN
Mary Ellen Moore b. Jan 1880 TN
James Moore b. Sep 1882 MO (but you have Clay Co., AR--right?)
Lizzie Moore b. Mar 1888 MO
Minnie Moore b. Jan 1889 MO
Laura F. Moore b. Aug 1895 MO

That was per the 1900 USFedCen and that also enumerated Permela Moore as having been married 26 years and having produced 10 children with these 6 alive. Moore family was in Howell Co., MO but Mary Ellen Moore had already married Frederick C. Bowers and they had 3 year old dau Ella in AR, Clay Coo.), Cashe (Twp.),Knobel town. Don't know whether Ella made it to adulthood or not. She was not shown with the Bowers family in 1920 but could have already been married.

Would like to compare notes again to see if either of us has found anything new?!!!!!
