Nathaniel Evans
EVANS, Nathaniel — Age 78, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2005. He was born on February 2, 1927, in Amity, Arkansas, the son of Millard and Lize Jane (Lookeado) Evans. Nathaniel has lived in the Roseburg area since 1946. He was a member of both the Moose and Elk Lodges. He enjoyed the numerous friends that he worked with. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and “his family to a point!” He had a charming wit and personality. He is survived by his very special partner of eleven years, Julia Yarbrough; his three sons, Nate Evans Jr. and his wife, Tess of Missoula, Montana; Michael Evans of Roseburg and Ronald Evans and his wife, Annetta also of Roseburg; a sister, Audrey Wood of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-five years, Delores Wilson; his parents; and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Taylor’s Family Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the OHSU Foundation, Cardiac Care.
