Audrey Evans Wood, 84, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday at her home.
She was born Sept. 28, 1921, at Finley, a daughter of the late Allen Millard Evans and Eliza Jane Lookadoo.
She was reared and received her early education at Amity. She graduated from Amity High School and Rubys Beauty School at Arkadelphia.
She owned and operated Audreys Beauty Shop for many years.
She was a member of South Side Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wood, whom she married on Aug. 20, 1955, at Greenville, Miss.; one brother, Nathaniel Nate Evans; one sister, Ozella Byram; and one grandchild.
Survivors include four daughters, Pam Young, Amelia Wyatt and Debbie Ewing, all of Pine Bluff, and Deloris Kelley of Burnet, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Mark Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
