I noticed that in the Carroll County Families book that was published there are several Hardeplee-Gardenhire families listed. These families are related to the Gardenhire families. I could not find any information on why some families (siblings even) used the name Hardeplee-Gardenhire and some were simply Gardenhire (or just Hardeplee). I am a descendant of a Gardenhire that also may have used the name Hardeplee and would like more information on this interesting name configuration. Thank you.
