Roarks landing was a port on the Ouachita River in 1800s. There was a big cotton warehouse there. I have been told that the confederate burned it during the war years to keep the north from getting there hands on the contents. I am told by more then a few that it was a place where a lot of bootleg whiskey was made and shipped in the 1900s.Now it is what the others have already shared with you.
