Just got around to seeing this post. Leon Emile Pedron is my Great-Great-Grandfather. The family is from Laurient, France (I hope I spelled that right). He was a taylor and family lore says his english was very poor. I don't have my documents in front of me but I believe he was either married twice or married late in life. Some family historians leave out the wife I am decended from(not sure why). He immigrated to the U.S. with his parents, brothers and sister and settled near the town of French Port just south of Camden, AR. There is a small oxbow lake named after the Pedrons near there. You can see it on googlemaps. His last child was born late in his life and that is my Great-Grandfather. His name was Amos.I have other information about when they came over if you would like it sent by PM. I just don't have it with me right now and can't remember.
