Thomas Dave Roark, 84, well known citizen of Hermitage, died Friday, June 26 (1942), at his home. He was born in Cleveland County on August 23, 1857 and was a member of tlhe Baptist Church. He had been ill many years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nannie (Huitt) Roark: two sons, Dr. W. N. Roark and J. R. Roark, both of Hermitage: one daughter, Mrs. R. F. Owen of Little Rock.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Baptist Church of Hermitage by the Rev. L. V. Gustavus. Burial was in Rick's Cemetery.

Pall bearers were Bruff Hudson, Woodroow Hudson, A.L. Hollingwworth, the Rev. Roy Bevins, J. N. Huiltt and W. C. Wood.
