Just wondering how far you got on this? I am trying to track a George Brooking from Ohio, b. abt 1830, who marries Susan Weeks in 1865. I found this George married to Jane in 1849, living next to William & Sallie Brooking (ages 67 & 66). Then I found George married to Mary Ann Honey in 1854, living with William & Sarah in their house in 1860 with John M. 1854, Viola 1856, and Arland 1859. If Jane died in 1862 what in the heck was George doing? How common was divorce? My George also was in the civil war so he was probably gone mid 1860's for a time. He came back & was pensioned as an invalid. Haven't found more on Mary but the kids all stayed in Ohio & George moved on to Kansas, if this is my George also.
