I am thinking that W.M. Watson could be the uncle to my Emily Henrietta THOMPSON CARPENTER, but I am unsure. Her mother's name was Elizabeth ? and born in Alabama.

There is a Willis WATSON in Benton, Alabama in 1840. The males match up with the 1850 census. Two females show up in the 1840 census that don't appear to be in the 1850 census.

I find the WATSON family in Henry Co., TN in 1850.

Amazio WATSON is in Boone Co., AR 1870. His wife's name appears to be Woodchuck and he has a daughter named Emma.
