Just found your note about Parson New. I live within 4 miles of where his killing occured. He is buried in the Burlington Baptist Cemetery. Also there is a Marcus New buried here also . I do not know the relationship of the two. The story, as I heard it was that Jesse James thought that Parson New had double crossed Jesse and he killed him.
