I am beginning my ancestry search for the Ford's. My father was Ola Lee (Lee) Ford, 1900-1966. Born and raised in Texas. He had four sisters, Dela, Lula, Mattie & Lela.I remember a Fred, whom I called Uncle, but I was told he was my cousin, raised as my Father's brother. His wife was Ida. I loved them dearly.The names Brown & Martin were mentioned as relatives.Lee was married to Willie Mae Leatherwood and I know she was born in New Salem, Tx.I remember them talking about the New London school fire and also the oldest sister, Dela's, birth records being lost in a fire.Possibly I may not be able to find court records. Can anyone give me some direction?
