my gggrandfathers name was Benjamin Gravier.he was born on a boat coming from france.his parents were coming to collect money from louisiana puchase.his folks died of disese and he was taken care of by a family named mills.he ran away from new orleans to join the union army in ohio.he was a powder monkeyor someone who helps load cannon.i can t seemto find him here.by the way I saw the name nobles and gravier was listed on the bottom,during the war his wife lived in arkansas thats where he settled,thanks.gary
