Looking for R.C. Martin, wife Sarah, children James,& Evaline moved to St. Charles around 1859 from Alabama. By 1870 they had more children: Robert W., Ida, John E. & Emma. R.C. was born about 1827 Alabama, father from Ireland, mother from N.C. Sarah born about 1834 AL, father Virginia, mother TN. R.C. served in Civil War, and as Arkansas County sheriff from 1864-1868, son James Elijah was Arkansas County jailer early 1900s. R.C. suppose to be buried in St.Charles cemetery, with a veteran headstone (I cannot locate it). Anybody out there know my gggrandfather?
