I am a descendant of Onecypheros Standlee. I hopeing a male descendant of Oney reads this and would be willing to participate in a DNA test. I've been working with other distant cousins. Basically Oney is part of a group living and paying taxes in Logan County, KY around 1800. He's living with other Standlee/Standley's. I'm working with descendants of other Standlee's of that group and I'd like help proving there's a common bloodline.

That request was specific to male descendants still carrying the Standlee name.

For any other descendants, I've been working with my mom's results from Autosomal DNA testing (23andme and FTDNA Family Finder do this testing). Has anyone that descends from Oney done this kind of testing that I could compare to?

Hi...My name is Melanie Southerland Pearce...my mother's name was Margaret Myrtle Shookman, her mother (?) was Elsie Pearl Strickland.....Elsie (my grandmother) father's name was Collie Strickland....He died after 1910 and before 1920. Elsie and her surving sibling Johnnie Lee Strickland were both raised by my great Aunt (Elsie's Aunt) Pearle Smith and husband Charles Smith (both buried in Clanson Mem Park in Dierks). I am a bit confused as to how you are related to Collie Strickland. The ONLY surving children from Collie Strickland were Elsie Pearl and Johnnie Lee!

Carrollton is south of Alpena, which straddles the county lines of Carroll and Boone counties. The Yell Masonic Lodge, located off of hwys 412/68 in Carrollton, is listed on the National Register of Historic places in Arkansas, ( arkansaspreservation(dot)org).

There are several ways to travel to Carrollton, one option would be from Harrison, Arkansas. Harrison is located in Boone County, which was carved from Carroll County.

The town of Harrison has a neat heritage history museum, ( bchrs(dot)org ). On their website, enter "Carrollton" in the the Search box for more info. about the community.

The town of Berryville also has a neat heritage history museum, ( rootsweb.ancestry(dot)com/~arcchs ).

The Carrollton Cemetery, with directions, is also listed online at ( arkansasgravestones(dot)org ).
Moore and Emeline Jackson.
I only have the following information:
Cora was born in 1880 she married on Jan 12, 1908 in Carroll Arkansas to Thomas Lovin Wall. He was born 1872 and died in 1949. I do not know if she remained a widow or remarried.
I have their children as Charlie who married Ora Cleo Fowler
Bonnie, Oscar who was married to a Margie ?, Mandy, Elsie and Ova and John William Wall the line I am researching mostly.... who married Roue Jane Spradling.

I have been told that I need to be also looking into the possibility of NAI heritage in this lineage, is that correct?

I am doing research for my son-in-law.
Any blanks that you can fill in would be appreciated.

I need info on my great grandparents. Catherine Amelia Bryant was born in Arkansas in 1868. I have her history but I really need the history of her husband Charles Alexis/Alexus Jackson. I believe he was born in Iowa abt Nov. 1858. I know they lived in the Fordyce area from 1887 until the late 1890's where they had six or seven children. Any info on him before that time (1887) i.e. parents, siblings, would be greatly appreciated.

I have information from a death certificate that states that my great great grandfather "William Calvin Johnson" was from Carroll county in Tenn. William was the husband of Ardelia D Moore from Franklin and the Wheelock area of Robertson county. William is buried near Franklin but Ardelia is burried near Corsicana in Navarro county. William was born in 1850 and died in 1893. I have not checked the court house in Franklin for any old records. Could this be the same person as the William T Johnson that you have researched.

I will answer my own question since today I went to the old Carroll County Courthouse on the Berryville, Arkansas square and took advantage of the many resources made available by the Carroll County Historical and Genealogical Society. There was a lady and a gentleman there to assist me and they looked up items in an index of the quarterlies, as well as looking in filing cabinet drawers, three ring binders, and even in other rooms. They both had an impressive depth of knowledge of Carroll County history and the related families, locales, and events. I couldn't recommend them highly enough to do them justice.

Actually I was a bit blank-minded when I answered your question. I'm looking for any information on the (West) Concord Community along Keels Creek south of Eureka Springs.
Gene Masters has had some fairly recent articles about his family there, but I wondered if there was anything else going back further in time. I'd be glad to come in and do whatever would be required to pursue it. Thanks for all of the work you do.

I am seeking info on a William L. Green and family. From information that I have he married Dona Lee (AKA Laura) McDuffey on Dec 9 1888 in Yell Co. She was the daughter of John H. McDuffey and Sarah Ida Brown of Yell Co.
They had 2 sons, John and Columbus (Lum). Both must have been born about 1888-1892.

The info that I have is that Dona (born in 1872 in Yell Co.) died Jan 15 1893 and the two sons were living with their grandmother Green in Green Forest, Carroll Co., Ar.

Dona Lee McDuffey Green is buried in Sunshine Cemetery, Yell Co. Her tombstone: To our Mother, by John & Lum Green.

I cannoy find more info on William L., John or Columbus (Lum) Green and would love to have more info.
Thanks!
