He was born in January 1871, location unknown perhaps Arizona or Four Corners area, and died in Texas about 1930. He may be buried in Vega, Texas.
Alex Copeland was married about 1903 to "Liza" Susie Annie Liza Pelham who was born in Oklahoma in 1886 and died in Acampo, California in 1982. Liza is buried in the Galt Cemetery, Galt, California.
Their children were: Pearley Lee Copeland, 1904; Ethel C. Copeland, 1906; Jesse James Copeland, 1908; George Washington Copeland, 1910; Cora Dee Copeland, 1912; Louise Copeland, 1919; John Isaac Copeland, 1920; Irene Copeland, 1922; and "Pete" L. D. Copeland, 1924. All were born in Oklahoma; all died either in California or Oklahoma.
