RICHARD WALKER
Richard "Rick" Walker, 44, of Portland, Ore., and formerly of Coolidge, died Aug. 26, 2000.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Sept. 30 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Miller Road and Main Street in Scottsdale. A celebration of his life will follow in the church hall.
Mr. Walker was born Feb. 13, 1956 in Phoenix to Gene and Louise Walker. He attended Coolidge and Marcos de Niza high schools, excelling in football, wrestling, baseball and track, and earning 10 varsity letters. He also played football at Phoenix College and the University of New Mexico. He was an avid outdoorsman, backpacking and fishing throughout the West and Northwest.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; his father; five brothers, David, Thomas, Joseph, Ronald and John; three nieces; and seven nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
