CASA GRANDE-- Christopher Joseph Tapia, 16, of Casa Grande died Sept. 8, 2000 at Maricopa Medical Center.

Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel. The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christian Church of Casa Grande, with the Rev. Steve Ballew officiating.

Christopher was born Dec. 8, 1983 in Florence and was a lifelong Arizonan. He was a student, known as a loving and giving person who had a great sense of humor. He loved music of all kinds and recently was accepted by a job corps.

Survivors include his parents, Daniel R. Tapia and Carol Ann Tapia of Casa Grande; two brothers, Nicholas J. and Stephen D. Tapia of Casa Grande; and his grandmothers, Lisa Robles and Sharon Shoemaker of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Irl W. Smith and Tony C. Tapia.
