I looked in the microfilm of the weekly Parker Pioneer newspaper for 5 weeks for both Dorothy in 1991 and for Albert in 2000. There were many obituaries in the newspapers but none for your subjects.

This is kind of vague Check the SSDI for Harold R, both lived in Parker AZ. The town newspaper is the Parker Pioneer, I am too far way to do a lookup.

I found 2-4 public family trees on ancestry, this is what I kind of came up with from looking at them.

Harold R Baumgart (b.21 Sep 1915-d.May 1991) married Viola F Boles (b.08 Mar 1922-d.Jul 1995), her parents Walter L Boles (b.1882) & Edna (Ballou or Balleau) (b.1899)

I know of only one child's name and that was Sonny, which very well could have been a nickname. I am told by a cousin they do live there. I am trying to do a family tree, and would like the names of his children. I just recently found out that the mother's name was Dorothy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for Beryl Van Wormer who married and then divorced Preston Anglin. m 1935, d1940 . She, we think, then married Jack Parker and moved to California from Washington State. There is a daughter, whose birth name was Claudia, though her name may have been changed later. Beryl was born about 1913, give or take. Claudia was born January 1937.

SNOOK children die in car accident at Parker AZ

I have found the death certificates for Ruth & Almilda SNOOK, and it states they died in a roll over car accident 7 miles South of Parker. Also says they are buried at Parker Cemetery. This occurred 8 June 1943 when La Paz County was part of Yuma County.

What I would like is any newspaper articles about the accident, and obituaries, and Cemetery entrance and tombstone photos.

Whom would I ask for assistance?

George Sutton is identified on the 1920 U.S. Census, Yuma County, Parker, Arizona, age 68 (approximate year of birth 1852,) single, born in Indiana, with both his father and mother being born in Ohio. Occupation: miner (quartz mines). George is identified on the census as a lodger
living in the home of Herman Roder with one other lodger.

George W. Sutton is identified on the 1900 U.S. Census, Kern County, Randsburg, California, age 43 ( Apr. 1857), single, born in Indiana, with both his father and mother being born in Indiana. Occupation: miner (gold). George is identified on the census as a boarder living in the home of Anna Chipman along with ten other boarders. Even though his
parents birthplace differs from census year to census year and George's age differs it is still quite possible these are the same person as census records were not absolutely accurate. Additional verification is needed.

I have also attached a photo of the headstone located in the Parker Cemetery, LaPaz County (formerly Yuma County) Parker, Arizona.

The newspaper published during that time period was called the Parker Post. It is possible you can find the newspaper on micro film at the Arizona State Dept. of Library and Archives, Phoenix, Arizona. As far as finding records of the undertaker, R.J. Martin, I am at a loss to have any suggestions for you. I hope the information I have provided you is useful. Best of luck in your search. I am the local
historian from Parker and have no additional information.

I would suggest you try Northport, Stevens Co., Washington. Chances are she was a snowbird & that is where SSDI shows her death resident.

If I can I will look around here just in case she was buried here in Quartzsite.

There is a weekly newspaper in Quartzsite..... the Quartzsite Times. I looked through the each edition of it for the whole month of March, through March 26, 2008. There was no obit on Jack Tews. I should mention that Quartzsite is a snowbird haven from November through mid April with thousands and thousands of RVs and motor homes.

In the summer it's just the hardy locals that can stand the very hot and dry days and nights. If you know where Jack normally lives you'd have a better chance of finding an obit there. Jim

I don't know if Ehrenberg has their own paper, but will check the Parker Pioneer Tuesday. You might want to check Blythe, Riverside, California. Ehrenberg is just across the Colorado River from Blythe.

Do you know if he was a winter visitor or full timer? If he was a snowbird, the obit is probably where he summered.

Was your George born in IN & Parents born in OH? He appears as a boarder on the 1920 census in Parker, living with a Herman Rodger (head) other boarder Lee Pritt.

I understand Parker City has the cemetery records, you might want to try contacting them http://www.ci.parker.az.us/. There is a link to the library, you might want to email them & see if they have old newspapers on micro film.

I live 35 miles away from Parker, if no one can help you let me know & I can try & get up there (no promises)

I'm looking for info on a miner named George W. SUTTON who died Feb 16, 1925 in Parker, AZ at the age of about 75 according to the AZ online Death Certificates. He was born about 1849.The parents' names and birthplace were listed as unknown on the death certificate. His residence and place of burial is given as Parker. The undertaker listed was R.J. Martin. I believe this may have been a long-lost uncle our family never heard from again after leaving Indiana in the late 1800's. Does anyone know if any records exist from this undertaker? Are there any local newspapers in existance from 1925 that might have obits? Is there more than one cemetery at Parker? Any help appreciated.

I am going into Blythe CA today, maybe the obit is in the Palo Verde Valley Times (I just don't know if I will have time to do a lookup). There is a part of the Parker Cemetery that is Native American, you might want to check there for burial. I don't know how much info the City will give you on the burial.

I live in Quartzsite, so I will see what I can come up with.
