Are you still here Jeanne. I have recently found information on my great Grandfather, John Frederick Carnighan. He was killed in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico in 1912 at the age of 49 from hemorrhage due to "his arm being pulled from socket"! I am following up information on what he was doing there. As I understand it, he was the last "sheriff" of Tombstone prior to their becoming more civilized. I also am following up on his activity as an "Arizona Ranger" which may have first led him into Mexico to protect American Business interests due to growing tensions by locals that erupted into a full blown uprising.
