For those interested I just published a book on St. Johns, called St. Johns. It's put out by Arcadia Publishing and is available on Arcadia's site www.arcadiapublishing.com and from Amazon. There's not a lot of text but there's about 200 historic photos of the town. Just wanted you all to know.

I am originally from St. Johns, AZ. I am interested in finding out more about your book. Did you write about the people of St. Johns from many years ago, or just life in the present? I don't have any living relatives in St. Johns anymore. My mother and other family members are buried in the Catholic cemetary. I left there many years ago. I am now retired and living in Tennessee. Please send me more information. Thank you, Sally L.

The chapter intro's go into some of present day St. Johns but the majority of the photographs in the book are from settlement (1870's) into the 1940's. With the exception of the chapter on the schools and it's alumni, which has some photos of sports teams (primarily basketball) going into the early 1960's, and a couple of photos of SJHS graduates (like Stewart Udall) who are still alive, but there's really only a handful of those because it's difficult to contact and get permission to publish pictures of people who are still living.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Surnames: Martineau, Johnson
Cameron, My early Mormon ancestors were in the Concho, Erastus, St. Johns area (1870-1885's. I'm compiling a family history book on part of the family (Martineau) and I'd like to use some of those early St. Johns pictures. Where and how do I get permission to use them? I love your book but I love old pictures.

Thanks
Marti
