Of the two remaining boys, Edward was adopted into the Pitka family after the death of his mother Mary Andrews. He grew to manhood and then lived around the Galena area where he was an outstanding citizen of the village. He was a family man who cared his family and many others. Gil Andrews was cared for by a family for a couple of years then sent away to school. He is in the Fairbanks area.
